The short version
Privacy Policy
This site does not track you. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels and no cookies. The only information we ever hold is what you choose to send us when you ask for a quote or get in touch, and we use it to do the job.

Who we are
This website is operated by Zoo Computer Repairs, trading as Fix My Home Computer. We are a one-person computer repair business servicing Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and surrounding suburbs.
You can reach us on (07) 3155 2051 or by email at hello@fixmyhomecomputer.com.au. Postal address details and our ABN are available on request.
What this website collects
Nothing, on its own. Simply reading this site does not send us anything about you.
- No cookies. This site sets none, and reads none.
- No analytics or advertising. We do not run Google Analytics, a tag manager, or any advertising pixel. There is no third-party tracking script on any page.
- No profiling. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share your information with advertisers.
- No third-party embeds. Maps, chat widgets, social media buttons and video players are not embedded here, because an embedded widget can collect data before you interact with it.
The one thing stored on your device
The blog page remembers whether you have opened the full archive, so you are not asked
again. That is a single flag kept in your browser's local storage under the key
blog:archive-open. It never leaves your device, is not linked to an account, and
holds nothing about you. Clearing your browser data removes it. It also works with
JavaScript disabled, in which case the archive simply opens every time.
What we collect if you contact us
If you ask for a quote or send us a message, we hold whatever you send us: typically your name, a phone number or email address, and a description of the problem. We use it for one reason, which is to quote for and carry out your repair.
How it reaches us depends on which page you use:
- The quote form opens on a third-party form host. Your answers go directly to that provider and then to our inbox.
- The in-page quote box has no server behind it. Pressing send opens your own email application with your answers filled in, and nothing is transmitted by this website.
We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own purposes. We will disclose information only where Australian law lawfully requires it.
Our web host
This site is a static build, so the pages you are reading are files served by the company that hosts this domain. Our host necessarily has access to the technical connection information any web server receives, such as your IP address and the browser you used. Name the provider and link its own policy here once it is confirmed.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records only as long as they are needed to quote for and complete your work, plus whatever period tax and business records law requires us to keep them. We do not keep enquiry details indefinitely. TODO(client): confirm a concrete retention period with an accountant so this states a number rather than a principle.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. We will answer within a reasonable time and normally at no charge. Email hello@fixmyhomecomputer.com.au and we will deal with it.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Anything material will be posted here rather than hidden behind a new URL.
